My hamster has a rather large lump on his leg its so large it dosent look like a leg. What is this

I hope not but... hamsters are like rats they are very prone to tumors,
hopefully he scratched it on something and its abcessed do you see a cut it could be very small look closely.
Hamsters only live for about 2 years how old is he? (approx) is he worth taking to the vet I dont mean that to sound rude but if hes over 2 chances are he wont be with you much longer anyway
does he seem like hes in pain? thats what I would use as an indication of wht my next step might be.

You need to take your hamster to the vet. The lump is most likely a tumor. Get it to the vet very soon.

It's most likely cancer. You should get your hamster to a Vet.

It might be a cist (dunno if thats the right spelling, its pronunced sist). You should really just go and get him checked out at the vet because my sisters hamster had lots of lumps on his chin and they got giant. Definetly got o the vet.!

those little guys are very prone to tumors. often they can have surgery to emove them but it does get quite $$. good luck
