I will need to read poems written by the two writers and I don't know how to pronounce their last names. Please help. Thank you.

Thanks to Solairaja A for helping out.
I used to think the 'he' in the first name should be silent.
Also, may I know which syllables are stressed?

You have been given the right advice by Soliaraja.

The stress should be as follows.

'Ran' - pronounced as "RUN"
'a' - pronounced as A in 'apple'
'sing' - pronounced as "SING" a song
'he' - pronounced as "GHEtto", with the G from the previous phonetic

For Arasanayagam, stretch the 'na' to read as 'naaa' followed by a very short 'ya'. So you would pronounce it as 'Ara''sa''naaaya''gum'

Hope this helps
