You need more RAM. While the game says a minimum of 128, never listen to what the minimum is, that is the minimum for the game to load onto the screen, not to actually play it decently. You really need at least 512MB these days, and 1GB is preferable. To change virtual memory, right click on My Computer, go to Properties, then the advanced tab, then click settings under performance, then the advanced tab, then where it says Virtual Memory click change. I don't know how much you have it set to now becaue I can't really understand what you said, but you should never need to set it higher than 1500MB.

I have mine set as a custom size from 765MB to a maximum of 1500MB, and I never have any problems. However I have 1GB of RAM. Also, having more RAM is preferable because RAM is faster than virtual memory.

First, let's address your problem of RUNNING OUT. You have plenty before.

- Step One, minimize the AutoStart programs
Many of these are not needed. Go to START and pick RUN. Type MSCONFIG and click OK. Then go to the STARTUP section. Simply uncheck some of these programs that you don't need. Yes, you need your antivirus program, but many of the Chat and Messenger services you do not need. (open them as you use them).

- Step Two, Get rid of any spyware
You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

- Step Three, Check your (real) RAM
Right Click on your MY COMPUTER icon and pick PROPERTIES. From that page, you should see how much RAM your WIndows thinks that it has. If it is less than 256, you GOTTA have more. Windows 2000/XP really works pretty good when it has 512MB or more. Check your system at http://www.coastmemory.com and get more.

- Step Four, Clean your hard drive
Use Disk Cleanup. You will find this in your START MENU. Look in PROGRAMS and pick ACCESSORIES, then pick SYSTEM TOOLS. After that runs, then pick DEFRAG. This might take a while, but will be worth your time.

- Step Five, Virtual Memory
If you have cleaned things up to this point, you probably don't need to expand that. This is the amout of hard drive space that is used for virutal memory when your regular memory has run out. But if things are running efficiently (and not unnessarilly) it should not be needed. Here goes: Right Click on your MY COMPUTER icon and pick PROPRETIES. Click on the ADVANCED section. Look for the Virtual Memory section there. Yes, you can use too much disk space for this. You see, after making a setting change, check your C drive. You really should have 1GB or more free space. In fact, it should be closer to 50%.

Well, you've stated that you've done it already. I guess you need to know what mb to set it to. You should set it to the recommended.

I would advise on upgrading your memory. Virtual memory is used when you've run out of RAM the pc is using your hard drive as memory. Another word for this is "paging".
