I think that love and marriage are worth fighting for. I think that you should do everything you can, whether it be making a new start or simply working on the old start, to make it work. However, if you come to a place where you firmly believe that things will never work between you and your spouse and you will be unhappy if you stay in the marriage, then you should get out.

You've asked 2 separate questions here. If your marriage isn't working, that doesn't mean you will never find one that does.
Now if you are asking if a marriage isn't working, should you give that marriage a second chance, well I have learned a lot about second chances in life.
Typically, a second chance is a second chance to screw up.

Yes. If your marriage isn't working you should try all you can to breath some life back into it but it will have to be an joint effort. If this is not the case it will fail without question.

If a relationship has already ended, never go back. All the problems that caused the relationship to end will be there waiting for you and will arise at some point.

It is OK to want to make things right but you both have to want that, and you have to think about why you called it quits to begin with. Plus there has to be a point to sit down and talk about all of the bad, in detail no matter how painful, to get it all out so you can move on together or single.

If it is only you that wants to start over again then, no, I don't think you should. You are only setting yourself up for more heartache. If you are both wanting to and are willing to deal honestly with the issues that got you here in the first place, then YES!! If you made the commitment to each other in your hearts as well as out of your mouths, then you should be able to work this out.

It depends on how much you love your spouse. If you truly love them and have faith that it will work, then yes. Try to start all over again... no matter how old you are.

Yes when it comes to marriage then yes there should be 2nd,3rd,4th....chances....till death you do part.

These things take time to build, a marriage is all about love, compassion, forgiveness, trust and friendship.
It should be worked at and not just when it is going good! x

yes i believe in second chances, unless it involves cheating. both parties must be willing to seek help, and both must know what caused the problems in the first place. can never work if its just one person wanting to reconcile.

Of course you should start over. You didn't die because your marriage did. Your never too old to find love, happiness and companionship.
