I need to buy new bras, and since the fourth grade, I've just used training bras. I'm now in seventh grade, and I measured myself with a website, and it said that the proper size would be 34 A. Now, I'm not one to depend on a dinky little find-your-bra-size website, but do you think I should get an A cup? Or should I just stick with training bras until I'm older and a bit more developed? I'm not trying to be weird, I'd just like someone's advice. :D

Hey, "me". ;D Thanks for the website, it's better than the one I checked! But, that can't be right. I put in my sizes, and it said mine is 36C. I KNOW that can't be right!!

I would suggest (just my opinion) sticking with the training bras until next year if they're working for you = ) In 8th grade if I recall correctly is when girls really started wearing real bras.. But totally up to you! No real opinion either way, that's just what I would do = ) Or maybe buy one 'real' one for sometimes!

Honey, this is not at all a weird question. MORE THAN HALF OF ALL WOMEN ARE WEARING THE WRONG BRA SIZE. What you should do is go to a store where they help you with a bra fitting. I know. I know. This seems like it would be very awkward. But trust me everyone does this and it is not uncommon at all. I go to a store called Catherine's they have Women's clothing there but I have a friend who works there and she is very helpful. So that's where I go. For you, you should make a couple of calls and see which stores do a professional bra fitting. Maybe there is a Victoria's Secret or something that can help you.
Go to the website below and put in Bra fitting into search and It should give you a list of stores you can go to in your area.
The shop specializes in bra fittings. "To me, this work is fulfilling. ... department stores have provided certified fitters for a number of years....

Go to a store that has trained women to help you get fitted properly. JC Penney's, and Dillard's are good examples, maybe Victoria's Secret. Not Walmart. The right bra will support without causing back problems. I know you're an A cup now but you still need quality support with the proper fit. A $2 bra can lead to breast tissue problems whereas a $15 bra will keep them and you healthy.

Hey there I can help. I think you should wear a bra that you feel comfortable in. I was never in a training bra and I am average. I would go to someone you trust as in a family member or friend to go with you to the store and then ask them to size you. Good luck!

Below is th best site I've found for proper measuring. In saying that, different bras fit differently. The key is trying on a bunch and finding one that feels good for you. The back should not ride up, your breasts should not flow over the cup and the bra should not dig into your back and cause back fat. Good luck with this.

I would go to the store, get a couple of different types of A bras and try them one. Whatever one fits best, buy that. If none of them fit, stick to training bras. Trust me... bras are something that you're going to have to buy A LOT of. I am 20 and I went from a 36A to a 38D in less than a year. Good luck and I hope this helps!

If you've been wearing nothing but training bra's you are in for a treat. Go to Victoria's Secret or some such place... They will fit you and help you pick out styles etc. Or if you are not ready for that yet... just take a few sizes and try them on in the dressing room.
You will get used to it and it will become fun even. Go with friends if you want.
Remember, lots of ladies wear bra's its perfectly normal...
Have fun!!

Try a few on in the dressing room and get the size that fits best. It's not like you keep the same bras for life. Get new ones as you grow.

Get the A cup because you need the support now I know that sounds awkward and stupid and maybe a little funny but it's true the traing braws don't give you a lot or maybe you could try sports bras they offer a lot of support and yet are comfy.
