I know that question might seem a bit illogical because a good team would obviously know how to win. They would know how to get things done and take control of the game even if the score is close or tied. But even so, I feel that the Bucs have an up and coming talented QB in Gradkowski. Their defense is solid but they simply got off to a slow start. Barber, Rice, Brooks, etc. are all pro bowl caliber players. And the Cadillac has finally got his engine warmed up. Some talented wide receivers on that team too. Gruden and Monte Kiffin are solid coaches too. The playoffs are still not out of the question, although it would be very hard. They can probably only afford to lose 2 more games until the rest of the season. And they would almost have to be flawless. Also, they play in a talented division.

True that the record does indicate how good you are but the answer, I truly believe, is yes. They have a game by 2 and a game by 3. During the Falcons game, Derrick Brooks returned a INT for a TD but it was called back on a bogus blocking in the back penalty. That would have pulled the game to within 3 points.

Also, for everyone who thinks they won on a bad call by the refs, the ref said that it was unnecessary roughness because the player slammed Gradkowski to the ground after a whistle was blown.

Ummm the Bucs shouldn't even have won against the Bengals (That lame roughing the passer penalty...that was a SACK!), but they certainly weren't that bad in the previous few weeks...except Baltimore..What was is..27-0? I think Gradkowski has certainly given the team new life, he's a great grab for Tampa...maybe better than Simms.

I just want to know what happened to Tampa's #1 total defense from last season? They're not playing like the same team they were. Maybe next year...1-4 in the NFC South is a death sentance right now.

Because the Quarterback position is so crucial, it can make or break a team. Simms is (was?) pretty good, but he was still very young and inexperienced. If Griese was still there, I'm sure they'd have a much better record. But yeah they do have a lot of talent in that team. Plus they have a cool pirate ship that shoots from the canons, thats super cool.

Your record defines who you are as a team. No they are not better than their record. They play in a tough division, where any one team can have a "career day".
I do recall a bogus roughing the passer call against Cincy that allowed them the go ahead T.D., to win the game, without that call, they would have lost, and obviously have a worse record than they already have.
