I read the article in yahoo news and it doesn't seem to me that Foley made any effort to try to report what that "priest" was doing so I doubt we can say the schmuck was molested. The sad thing is the majority of gay people who are not molestors are getting unfair blame for this by the republicans because this "proper christain conservative" doesn't have the soul to admit what he is and take sole responsibility. I've known people who were molestation victims and that's always the last thing they want to have anything to do with. Foley is a hypocrite of the highest order and should be in jail never mind out of office.

He is no angel. It seems like he should have been trying to protect young boys from people like the ones who molested him. They shift the blame to make people feel sorry for them.

Well I don't no when Clinton was getting oral sex, was that Okay? "I did not have sex with that woman" If it is okay for Clinton why not Foley. Oh I for got it is only wrong when a Republican does it but when a democratic does it is right.

Of course not. I was beaten when I was a child. But I don't beat my kids. If anything it should make him more aware of the danger and harm it presents.
His excuse is a cop out.

no it just makes his chances of becoming a pedophile higher. It's just an excuse. I feel sorry for him if he was, but jeez foley you had to know it was wrong. and if it's wrong you just don't do it.
