yes the sidekick does have features of a cell phone and it is a cell phone but it is used primarily for tmobile email and Instant Messaging, it also have a qwerty keybad just like a keyboard similar to a PDA phone.

yup, its a cell fone, mp3 player, camera fone, instant messenger/internet usage. and buncha other stuff all in one.. but you have to charge it alot like it only lasts about 1-2 hours off the charger thats the only bad part.
