If the drunk old man was a Nobel laureate, your question would be harder to answer morally speaking. The truth is, in organ transplants, the sickest person gets the organ. IF the old man was still an alcoholic, that would probably make him ineligible.
Most people will say the young woman.

I don't know..really.
This question is a little unfair actually.. you have 2 adjectives for the man.. and only one for the woman.
I would give it to whoever I THINK is more deserving. Old drunk man... its not v. clear if he is addicted to drinking.. or he is just drunk at that moment.. I'll never know till I find out, right? and you didn't explain.
For all I know, he could be a caring father who dearly loves his 2 kids who are only 2 and 5? .... I wouldn't want the kids to suffer too..
my point: it takes more than the surface to decide.
cheers!

Young woman becuase she has barely lived her life while the old drunk man has already lived most of his life. And his heart might have been bad becuase he is a drinker. It makes since to me.

The highest bidder?
No No....just kidding. You'd have to check the medical history of both & their blood types. Assuming both were good to go....because the older guy is alcoholic....I think he wouldn't be a good candidate. So I guess I'd give it to the younger woman.

Whoever had the most life ahead of them and valued it enough to try and live as well as possible....so probably the young woman.
