I would save a photo/scrap album that my parents made for me before they died. They've been gone for many years now & it's all I have to remember them by, so it is irreplacable and a book beyond price for sentimental & historical reasons.

My first instinct would be my computer. It's the most expensive thing I own, and it's amazing how much of your life is on there.
But if I actually thought about it, I'd probably take all the photos I took while I was studying abroad in London and travelled throughout Europe. Sounds cliched, but I want to remember those times. And this was before I had a digital camera, so I only have the print copies.

I would probably go for my purse. at least if i lose everything, i would have a little money and some credit cards, lol. ok, this is not a funny question...seriously i would grab my purse and maybe a picture or two on the way out. It's funny I recently was thinking about that, what would I grab, and everything I really would hate to lose is just too hard to grab in a hurry. and alot of people say they would grab their pet. Screw that, get what you need for you, you can always get a new cat.

I'd first make sure to grab my engagement ring (which is an estate piece) and the two rings passed on to me by my grandmother.
(Most of the pics in my house originated from a digital camera and are backed up online...my mom's house has the sentimental ones so don't think I'm being materialistic by saying rings)

Well, feel horrible, because my burned to the ground in January. (It really did burn, but don't feel horrible, we have a new house already) We got everyone out, including the dog, but that was it. My son busted out a window in his bedroom and reached through for his glasses (can't see without them). The house burned totally down, even the floors burned. But we got out with what mattered, our lives and all the other stuff didn't matter as much to us as we thought it did. The worst thing was I lost my grandmother's wedding rings. Those were most prized possession.

Wow. an interesting question from someone who's thoughtful too. Dang. Thanks. I was beginning to wonder!
I'd get my purse, if my babies were out. My husband has thumbs to open doors with for himself, so I'll assume he's out. I'd want the keys (in my purse) to get the car away from the side of the house, for sure!

By the time everyone was out, it would be too late or too dangerous to go back in. Photos would be my first thought though.
