What is he doing thats not worth it?? Only you can know if he's worth it.. Do you see this relationship going anywhere. Its always good to try and work on a relationship but someoes you can be trying to hard on something thats not working anymore. Maybe take a break from the relationship for some time and see a different angle..

One of the many problems with the American left, and indeed of the American left, has been its image and self-image as something rather too solemn, mirthless, herbivorous, dull, monochrome, righteous, and boring. How many times, in my old days at The Nation magazine, did I hear wistful and semienvious ruminations? Where was the radical Firing Line show? Who will be our Rush Limbaugh? I used privately to hope that the emphasis, if the comrades ever got around to it, would be on the first of those and not the second. But the meetings themselves were so mind-numbing and lugubrious that I thought the danger of success on either front was infinitely slight.

There's not a lot information given to know who could be wrong and who could be right. However, if your boyfriend is not treating you right then how much you like him is not going to affect how he treats you. He's going to mistreat you no matter how hard you have fallen for him or how highly you think of him. If he is not treating you properly, then your friends are right and you should leave him.
I hope things work out for the best between you all.

Your friends wouldn't ever tell you to leave your boyfriend unless they had a really good reason for it. How does he treat you? When you count up the times he's done something really nice for you and made you happy vs. the times he's made you feel bad or cry, which column outweighs the other one? Think about that and make the decision on your own.

We don't know anything about him...although your friends are probably in a position to be more objective than you are...take their issues into serious consideration...and step outside the situation (emotionally) and ask yourself if one of your good friends was involved with a guy like that...would you suggest she go for it, or get out?

He's not worth it, neither are you, go find a rock to hide under! Why would anyone want to stick their neck out? I mean sure, you can be happy with him, but does he cook? Can he respect you? Can he afford you? C'mon girl, ask those shallow questions honestly!!

Trust your friends. And be glad you have friends that will tell you. I wasted 4 years of my life with a woman and when it was over my parents and best friend told me they didnt think she was right for me to begin with, I wish they would have spoken up sooner.

Follow your heart. It will not lie to you. You have to be the one that lives with that decision.
