Im 33 Weeks pregnant almost everytime after sex whenever I go pee and wipe I find a small amount of pinkish blood of the TP about dime sized. I never have cramping though...just lots of contractions..Is there anything wrong with this?? My mom said something about the placenta tearing..but she over exaggerates on everything..

My doctor told me not to worry about that kind of bleeding. It's been happening to me on and off throughout my entire pregnancy. My doctor said it's because of increased blood flow to the cervix--and also because blood pools behind it--during pregnancy. I'd report it to the doctor anyway; but, chances are he'll say it's nothing to worry about.

Call your doctor just in case. It could be Placental abruption. This can be very serious. Good luck.

Placental abruption (Also known as abruptio placenta) in biology, is the separation of the placental lining from the uterus of a female. In humans, it refers to the abnormal separation after 20 weeks of gestation and prior to birth. It occurs in 1% of pregnancies world wide with a fetal mortality rate of 20-40% depending on the degree of separation. Abruption placenta is also a significant contributor to maternal mortality.

Symptoms

* contractions that don't stop
* pain in the uterus
* tenderness in the abdomen
* vaginal bleeding (sometimes)

Yes. I've had it happen during all three of my pregnancies. Now if it becomes heavier (filling a pad in 2 hours) then yes be worried. As long as it is light and you aren't having any other problems you are fine. Also it is common to spot after intercourse as well.

CALL YOUR DOCTOR! It may be nothing...it may be something serious. It is better to make sure than to take the advice from strangers...them have something go terribly wrong. The loss of a baby is something you will never forget...find out for sure to set your mind at ease.

You should really explain this to your doctor:) It is probably nothing, but I would rather ask the doctor and know for sure, than think you know the right answer, and be wrong

First, spotting after sex is normal.
Second, your orgasms cause contractions. And semen causes your cervix to soften. So you may want to limit your fun time.

These are both normal.
