Once in a long while I can get through one Shania Twain song (Man, I feel Like a Woman) or one George Strait song (Amarillo by Morning) but other than that I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate country music. Always have. And it's a tough thing to hate out west here. It's everywhere... *shudder*.

I am in total agreement with parrothead. I love all kinds of music. I have some favorite counttry artists and songs, just as I do every other genre of music. Recently though, I became aware of Chris Young. I cannot listen to "Drinking me Lonely" enough!

I love country music, especially the old stuff, like Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Faron Young, Merle Haggard, etc.

I like older country from the late 70s and 80s more than I like it now, though I do listen to it once in a while. I would rather listen to rock any day.
