Unless Alonso finishes out of the points, he'll be World Champion and his car will be branding the #1 again next year..................for McLaren.
In the case where the World Champion isn't around to defend his championship (Jochen Rindt 1970, Nigel Mansell 1992, Alain Prost 1993), the team He raced for uses the numbers 0 and 2.
In case the World Driving Champion changes team (Michael Schumacher won the 1995 title with Benetton and in 1996 raced for Ferrari - Damon Hill won the 1996 title with Williams and in 1997 raced for Arrows), the driver takes the number with him.

The 1997 Australian Grand Prix with Damon Hill as Car No 1

Cars #1 and #2 go to the team with the Defending World Driving Champion WDC)
Cars #3 and #4 go to the highest placed team from the prior year's Constructor Championship NOT containing the WDC
Cars #5 and 6 goes to the next next highest placed team......and so on

No as the number 1 is Schumachers number. Next season there will be no number 1 but the year after, the world champion will have the number 1 back again

This happened in 1993 after Nigel Mansell won the Title then retired in '92, and in 1994 when Alain Prost won the title and retired in '93. Both times with the Williams Renault team, and Damon Hill ran both '93 and '94 with the number '0' on his car, with his teammate running with the number '2' - therefore no car ran with the number '1'.
All it says in the Sporting Regulations is that each Driver (or his replacement) must display the number allocated to him by the FIA prior to the start of the season. So we'll have to wait and see what the FIA see fit to do.

this depends on the constructors' cup. if ferrari wins that, they have cars 1 (raikkonnen) and 2 (massa). If renault wins the constructors' cup, ferrari will have numbers 3 and 4.

I would assume that F1 would retire his number, but the team has rights to the car number and can use it at their discretion.
