Toes are called Phalanges

Big toe = proximal
First , three toes = (middle )1 nearest the big toe .
Second Middle (next to that )
Third , the toe nearest ,the distal toe
Little toe = distal Phalanges
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
this little piggy went to market = (proximal)
This little piggy stayed at home = ( 1st middle)
This little piggy had roast beef =( second middle )
This little piggy had none = ( 3rd middle )
This little piggy ,went weee wee we! all the way home= ( distal)
Or;phalanges ----Right or left foot
big toe, 2nd toe, 3rd toe , forth toe , and fifth toe
The toes are numbered 1-5, with 1 being the big toe and 5 being the small toe. Anatomical language would refer to the big toe as the hallux and the rest of the toes as the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th digits (plus the modifier of left and right).
To be even more exact, the toes are further divided into segments known as phalanxes. Each toe, with the exception of the hallux, has three discrete segments: distal, middle, and proximal phalanx (the hallux only has a distal and proximal). This terminology generally applies to both toes and fingers.
So for a complete description of an injury:
"I burned my 2nd distal phalanx when I touched the stove"
They call them the great toe, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. They also sometimes refer to them as the metatarsals, or specific joints like the distal and proximal interphalangeal joints (DIPs and PIPs) and sometimes they call the whole toe (including the metatarsal and phalanges) a "ray".
