I was going to say, it depends on the class you want to take.
I also did the Bradley Method of Child Birth and that class is 11 - 12 weeks.
IT IS WORTH IT!!
It was a great class and I had the MOST wonderful birth experience, I wish I could do it again!!
Congrats and good luck!

I agree with the people who say they're a waste of time. I've had 2 babies and both birthing experiences were COMPLETELY different. Watch Birth Day on Discovery Health Channel, be prepared for pain and ask for an epidural the minute you walk into the hospital.

Usually starting in your 6th month. Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Around 28-9 weeks. Good luck. You might also feel more at ease if you have a labor coach/doula.

I didn't take the classes myself, but I think you should sign up for the classes now before they fill up. My husband and I didn't sign up for the classes soon enough and missed out on them.

I didn't take them with my first child and i was fine... it is all up to you...plus, i was on strict bed rest for the last 3 months of my pregnancy and could not do a damn thing not even that... Dr said since my sister all had kids (we all have the same Dr) that they could teach me... but they never did... so it is all up to you... i was 18 when i had my daughter...

If you wait until month 7 or so, you will remember more when 9 months comes and still have time to practice breathing.

I wouldn't waste my time or money on a hospital birthing class. Check into Bradley. www.bradleybirth.com
