if you live in the boondies that's all you get...
they only get more resolution on the super populated areas.
Sorry
And if you are trying to see what bugs are on your roof shingles, you aren't going to see that. You are looking at a picture taken from space! there is only so much you can see.

I found my car on google earth. a little freaky. However, I tried to locate a vacation home in the poconos and it was too blury.
My car was just south of Philly.

You cant clear it up. The picture is from a satilite in space, probably taken years ago. The picture is taken so far away so the closer you get the more blury.

Probably the only way is to buy their upgrade. Some of the pics are blurry and some are not on the free Google Earth. It's fantastic, tho, isn't it.
Hope that helps.

that picture is taken from outer space, very far away. its just like any picture, the closer you get, the blurrier. you couls also try changing the pixel settings on your computer to the ones recommended by google for running google earth in the best possible view.

google earth for most of us, is pictures taken in recent years or months...and it will not be much better than what you got.
However, according to family members in the military, there is google earth that is current & fully viewable...but is a cost to use.
