Instead of concentrating on your outward appearance (which you can also do), rev up your personality. Here's an easy way--extend your handshake time by one extra shake. It sounds weird, but it's cool. First, get yourself a baseline. Shake hands with someone you know and get a feel for how many times your hands go up and down. Do it a few times so you're comfortable with that number. Then, the next time you meet someone new, shake their hand for one extra shake while maintaining eye contact and smiling. It will throw the other person off their game ever so slightly, but it will give them the impression that you're trying to get to know them a little bit better, as though they're in on some sort of secret you have. Then, when you release their hand, exhale slightly and say something that begins with the phrase "Y'know." Something like "y'know, it's cold outside," or "y'know, I could go for a little carrot cake." Any sort of nonsequitir like that. It REALLY breaks the ice, and it works. It adds instant style to your personality, which pumps up your self-confidence, too. I know it sounds weird, but it works.

Feel free to investigate retro fashion and then put your personal touch to it. My wife like vintage stockings and shoes and skirts and then pulls it all together with new stuff.
I'm sure you have good taste, when you like what you see in the mirror or you start getting lots a compliments you know you've got what your looking for.

ok girl listen up try polo shirts at aeropostal or those stores and go to jc pennies for cool cartoon shirts and the costume jelwely go to claries hope i helped -amy
