Where can a college student get a macbook for cheep.?

if you go to apple.com then click on store, on the right hand side you will see an option for education / more savings its for students, you select your school and it knocks like anywhere from $50 - 300 off the computers, its not much but its better thasn nothing.

Does it have to be a macbook?? Macs are really expenisve why dont you get a Toshiba or a HP?
