Always wondered if any herbs or amino acids, vitamins, minerals, or other holistic treatments might be able to accomplish this.
Thanks so much!

I would suggest St. John's Wort, but I think that's only for the serotonin. You could always go to the whole food store and ask someone there to help you. I come from a holistic family, and if I can suggest trying this "non holistic" dual acting anti depressant. It has nor-epinephrine and serotonin. It's called Cymbalta. It is very good. My mom has been taking it for a year and she is doing great now. She has always been so dead against taking anything like that. But, I have to say....depression is very serious. It's really not talked about as much as it should. It has taken me away from my life for 2 solid years. A lot of times we absolutely don't need to be medicated by these doctors. And sometimes, it can be as important as insulin would be to a diabetic. Depression is very serious, and paralyzing. Don't be afraid to try this particular medication.....it is not one that will turn you into a zombie....I promise.

L- phenylalanine, an amino acid. Take it on an empty stomach so it can pass the brain blood barrier. If you have high blood pressure this is not for you.

Tyrosine may help. Take as directed on the bottle. If you are on medicine for any kind of nerve or mental problem, clear it with your doctor first.
