If the plaintiff is simply claiming he or she got fat from eating at McDonald's and that's all there's to it, the case will be dismissed on day one. Do you have a site I can look at for more information.??

Of course not; personal responsibility does not fatten the bank accounts of greedy lawyers.
Then you add to the mix the people that have what I call the lottery mentality. They know that it is not McDonald's fault that people get fat or spill coffee on themselves but they have the idea that hopefully they to can get rich off of a big lawsuit. That is why you can get a jury to rule in favor during ludicrous and that people do not put pressure on their lawmakers to correct the ridiculous situation.

You can sue for anything, but you won't necessarily win. In this case, they won't win. A lot of people also have misinformation about the McDonald's coffee lawsuit as well. The woman received third degree burns, and the jury wanted to award a couple million (for her burns as well as the fact that it was negligent to keep the coffee that hot), but the judge reduced the award drastically. Of course all the news said was that a jury awarded a few million b/c this woman spilled her coffee.

Because the whiny liberals have taken away all sense of personal responsibility from our society and we have no real tort reform in our country. Let's find someone, something, some company or some disease to blame and get rich off of it!

Right down the drain with the liberal democrats. They take no personal responsibility for their actions. And I don't like saying that, but they have shoved their ignorance down my throat, practically begging me to believe just how ignorant they can be

I wonder the same thing. What's wrong with our legal system that these suits even go to court?
Do you suppose it has anything to do with the fact that we keep electing lawyers to all our legislative bodies?

Their lawyers should be disbarred for filing frivolous lawsuits.
