-I can't take pills, for the life of me I can't remember to take a pill everyday so that one is out.
-Found out the patch has severe side effects so I don't want to go that route
-The depo shot makes you gain a lot of weight so I don't want to do that.

-I don't want anything I have to put in myself or put in every time I have sex.

-I want something I don't have to worry about.
-I was going to go with and IUD but my OB/GYN and my regular doctor don't put those in.

Please help me out.
Is there anything else out there that is simple birth control????

I did depo, and it worked great for me. I didnt gain any weight, and it was SO nice because I didnt have to think about it at all.

Oh, and did i mention I didnt get pregnant! ;P

P.S. With any birth control there are going to be some kind of side effects. If you think depo "might" make you gain weight, why not try it out and if it does you dont get it agian. Just because "some" people gain weight doesnt mean everyone does.

The side effects from the patch are the same for that of the pill but there are higher occourances of them. It still puts the risk of blood clots at less than 10 people per 10,000. That's one tenth of one percent. There's probably a higher risk driving your car.

You need to take this list to your OB/GYN and have them make the decision with you. If all the options aren't good enough for you then the only method left is abstinence.

If you care enough about not getting pregnant then you will remember to take a pill everyday. Simply set it by your toothbrush and each night when you brush your teeth or wash your face, take it.

If Ur body didn't take to the hormones of the patch it wont either with the depo and that in your system for 3 months so if you have the same side effects (but stronger) there is no way to get it out of your system. I'm telling you this from experience I had the same side effects with the patch as with the depo but stronger. Sounds liek your similar to me I would look up for state clinics, planned parenthood or just another dr altogether who will inert the IUD its a true blessing

man people are stupid!!! Oh ya I'm sure a married woman is going to abstain from sex!!! Why are people so scared of sex?? Guess what, your parents did it!!!!!! anyway.......I have never tried it but there is the nuva ring, Many women seem to like that... I tried the mirena iud, and it made me bleed and cramp all the time! I have also used the pill to though and that made me bleed for a month, so I might just be sensitive to hormones....If you have no other problem with the pill other than remembering to take it, I would recomend setting your cell phone with a repeat alarm on it. That is what I did and I always remembered......Good Luck :)

I cant take pills either. I cant remember them, and they make me nauseous (Ive tried a few). I tried the patch, but I didnt like it because of the sticky residue it left on my skin plus all the side effects that it has. I was thinking of trying nuva-ring. It looks simple enough.....even though you have to put it in yourself......its only once a month. Im pregnant now, but as soon as the little peanut is born, Im going to try Nuva Ring. I heard IUDs are good, but theres a string that hangs down, and I imagine it would get pretty gross after a month.

I am sorry that so many were so mean. People use birth control. It's not like you are the only women in the world. There is a new birth control out. It is a small t shaped tube inserted into the uterus and a small string is attatched so the doctor can remove it when you decide to have children. It puts out the hormone only in the uterus and not throughout the whole body first. SO the symptoms aren't as bad. Check with your doctor about it.

Check out the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. You can do Natural Family Planning and as long as you don't have sex on certain days of the month you will not get pregnant. It's more effective than many types of birth control.

The simplest form of birth control is abstinence. If you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex.
Almost every type of birth control has some side effects, you just have to be willing to put up with it as long as you don't want to get pregnant.
The only other option is to insist that your partner use a condom and spermicide cream. Avoid having sex during your fertile zone (days 8-16 after your period starts) just in case.

After my 1st child i used the nuvo ring! i think that its great you dont have to worry about the pill everyday! It was safe. It is easy to put in and take out! you insert it into your vagina and it stays there for 3 weeks! I was scared it would fall out or get caught during sex but i didnt... My husband said he could kind of feel it but it didnt bother him! so the nuvo ring is a good choice

I don't have any great suggetions on birth control other than what you have already tried but I just wanted to make a comment that people should read your headline and full question before they starting pushing their opinions onto others.
