Whatever, Jaws is scary. It was number 1 on the Bravo List and besides that it made me not want to swim in the ocean and I live on an ISLAND! The thing about scary movies is not so much the gore or the killings (because face it, you know someone's going to be killed, it's a horror movie) but the MUSIC & the suspense leading up to the killing is what's scary. Not to mention, our own imaginations that is far more scarier. Well, at least for me. I love Halloween & scary movies. Someone once said, to be scared is the same emotion as being excited, just negatively. Being scared can be fun, but sometimes stressful!

The only movies close to scary I've ever seen are The Sixth Sense and The Terminator 1 and 2. I tried watching Halloween 2 but I couldn't. I cannot watch a scary movie. You're not the only one. I stick with comedy and tv.

Jaws is a classic thriller/horror movie that everyone needs to watch and it has been rated as one of thee must scary movies of all time. Also probably the most likely movie to mess with your subconscious because, there is a real possibility of something like that happening.

life would be very boring without Scary Films for me anyway. screaming, heart beating, nail biting ;all of this makes me feel alive! and facing my own fears i guess. the only thing i can't watch and cover my face is when there is violence on animals! like in "butterfly Effect" or some art film i saw with Sevigny. forgot the title....anything else i can handle.... funny isn't it? maybe not...

I like watching them with friends or in a movie theater. I'll sometimes watch them by myself but not too often.
Except I hate horror movies with stupid people in them.
"I'm going to go down this poorly lit hallway with the inhuman growling coming from it because I think it's just my boyfriend."
Watch Shaun of the Dead! It's a horror movie you can laugh at.

I love horror movies and Jaws is one of my faves. You remind me of my Mom: she also can't stand scary movies. But each to his own: personally, I can't stand dramas! :)
