I'm referring to the ones who were filmed only, or mostly, in black and white. Quite frankly, most of them are now performing in that great comedy club in the sky, i.e. they're dead!

Laurel and Hardy

Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis
George Burns and Gracie Allen

Still love the Marx Brothers..Classic screwball comedy....Groucho was the King of the putdown,usually phrased in a way that the other person sometimes took it as a complement at first until he thought more about it.....Harpo was great at physical comedy-never spoke a word though.....Chico excelled at broken-English and was still able to make sense.....not to mention the musical skills of Harpo (at the Harp,of course) and Chico(at the piano,amazing what he could do when he decides to play with one finger at times!) and those two always did solos in their features.... There will never be another act like them!

Definitely the three stooges are the funniest! Don't forget LUCY, I love Lucy too! She was the craziest red head ever! She started in black and white before Ricky was around! Also abbot and Costello, oh my god they were the funniest! Remember when they met the werewolf? Or Frankenstein or the invisible man? They were all funny back then with out all the profanity and sexuality, they used good clean humor!
