It was an album by Faces, formerly known as Small Faces. The hit single from this release was "Stay With Me". The single hit the charts soon after Rod Stewart had a solo hit with the album Gasoline Alley, and the single release from it, Maggie May, and marked the last recording made with Faces. It was ironic, because it was the success in North America that had eluded him for so long, and the impetus to break up Faces and go solo.

What is your question here? "A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat" is a quote from the Monty Python skit "Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink".
This isn't really a question, and you could get reported for it. Be warned.
