You could try a clear gloss. Or a lip plumper. Or both. Sally Hansen has one for about 7 dollars. Also, if you gentley brush your lips with a toothbrush, that helps to make them swollen slightly (it's not as bad as it seems). You could try layering a coat of gloss over a coat of lip balm (tinted)?

I totally have your problem girl :D!! First, buy something that isn't coffee colored whatever you do, trust me chicka, it doesn't work. My personal favorite is Berts Bees Watermelon cuz it stays on, it's about $7 canadian for a tube but mine lasted a year and it stays on, works for every occassion. Red lipstick, as long as it isn't bright pinky-red, is crazy hot and totally Scarlett Johanassen meets Christina Agularia. Click the link below to get color-matched with Cover Girl. You insert important info about you looks and out pops your color. YOu have tto make an account on the covergirl websites but you can choose not to get the SPAM. I guess this will be helpful to you cuz even though I don't wear much makeup this was really helpful in figuring out my essentials!

Try Revlon Superlustrous Lipgloss. It has a variety of colors including dark colors. They give this voluminous look because of their shine. It's about $5.99, but cheaper during a sale.

Try the Sally Hansen Lip Plumper also - works pretty good - and than use a nice darker color over the top - that is what I do and it looks good.

Victoria's secret has a GREAT gloss that stays on without constant touch-ups. Very shiney, not alot of color. The shiney makes your lips look fuller.

VeryVoluptuous by Victoria Secret. It's about $22. It stings a little (but i like the tingle). I am addicted to it!
It also gives them a bit of color. It goes on clear though...takes about 30 seconds
