I will be arriving at Heathrow airport and taking the tube to Westminster for a few hours.
I need to know the best way to get from Westminster or somewhere close to Gatwick airport by train if possible? or bus??
A cheap route. THANKS

When you arrive at Heathrow, take the Piccadilly line train to Green Park. You could then walk though the park to Buckingham Palace, up the Mall to Trafalgar Square and along Whitehall to the House of Parliament.
If you still feel like walking, walk East along the Thames to Blackfriars and take the First Capital Connect train from there direct to Gatwick.
That should take a couple of hours and you will see most of the tourist sights

You could take the tube from Westminster to Victoria or walk there (not far) and get a "Southern" service train to Gatwick airport. I think it costs about £9. The "Gatwick express" is a faster but more expensive option. This also operates from Victoria station.
