Yes I have been baptized. There's a difference in being baptized and being christened. A baby is christened and given its name.....this is different. Being baptized does not get you into heaven. Being baptized only shows that you are obedient. The important thing is, is to be old enough to know why your being baptized. What gets you to heaven is repenting you sins. Bottom line. Any comments?

No you won't spontaneously combust. LOL I always feel like I'm wearing my sins on my chest like the Scarlett letter. I was baptized a long time ago and it never kept anything bad from happening to me so I felt for a long time like it was a waste. I guess it means different things to different people just like everything else. I thought getting baptized was supposed to protect me or something, I was just a kid though, now I know better.

To answer your question, all differences aside. I have been baptized but at an early age I did things the church didn't approve of, and to be honest, wondered the same thing. So I didn't set foot into a church for years. Then one day my mom asked me to go to church with her, I figured what the hell, if God thinks I deserve it he will strike me down at the door. Guess what? I'm still here. So to answer your question, you'll have to wait until you die to burn in hell. Guess we're going to be room mates! lol
Go figure.
And no, I don't feel differently towards someone who hasn't been. I feel that ultimately they are their own person and who am I to judge.
Shall we call a truce? I like how you handle your business here, and I am sorry someone did that to your points. That is really messed up.

most people get baptized when they're a baby but I didnt get baptized until I was six years old so I actually remember some of what happened on the day. I dont feel any different to someone who hasnt been baptized though! I wouldnt think to ask someone and if I ever found out they hadnt been I wouldnt really be bothered. religion isnt as issue for me. if people arent trying to force their beliefs on me I'm okay with who they are.

I was baptized at age 13, but not exactly as my choice. I did it to please my father (which it did), but I never felt connected to that church and when given the choice at age 18, I left the church.
I am a spiritual person and believe in God, but do not like the teachings and close-mindedness of the church.

I was as a baby, I should have it done again, you won't burn in church you're probably better than many church hypocrites, any christian can baptize you, a clergy person is not necessary.

i've been baptized and really i don't care if you have or haven't been. as long as you're there for the right reasons and not cuz someone made you feel guilty then by all means come...you won't burn, sorry to ruin the drama ;-)

I was baptized when I was 7 and it doesn't matter whether you have been baptized to me. It's not like I am going to give you a religious survey when I meet you.

i have not been and when i tell people that they say, "ohh.......you haven't" and look at me like i am some kind of freak. i personally feel that all of this organized religion bull is for simple minded people. i believe in a god and i try to live my life the best way i can so as long as i do this i think i will be okay. who are they to criticize because i dont feel connected with one certain religion.
