How long does it take for a TV episode to be put up for sale on iTunes?

Yep, 24 hrs.

Though I've found it will vary slightly depending on the "network". For instance NBC, ABC, or CBS shows are almost always availible the next day. Sci-Fi and some of the other cable channels have taken much longer in my experience.

It's usually there the very next day.
