the actor is John Barrowman who played Captain Jack Harkness, and was first seen in the episode "The Doctor Dances", and was killed off by the Daleks, but bought back to life by Rose in "The Parting Of Ways"
And is now in a spin off called TORCHWOOD (which is also an anagram of Doctor Who
