As reported earlier, Marty "The Boogeyman" Wright was rehired after previously being fired a few weeks ago. Booker T was the individual who pushed for his re-hiring. The Boogeyman is supposed to be a "Booker project" as he will be training mid-week, every week at Booker's wrestling school in Houston. Also, one company source is saying that there was an implied race card used in Wright's rehiring, and the company felt vulnerable to it right now due to the Cryme Tyme act getting negative publicity.

Absolutely not! This guy has been working his tail off for years. However, alot of black wrestlers have seemingly been held back over the years. ie. Ron Killings in the WWE, Shelton Benjamin (who may be the best all around wrestler in the business). Recently they are trying to repair this problem with guys like Elijah Burke, Cryme Tyme, Flash Funk, and most noteably The Boogeyman.

That is the reason Booker T is the champ. Earlier, like 1 or 2 ago there were only white wrestler. May 1 or 2 blck, but that was just it.
now it's everywhere u look there's a black wrestler.
No offense, though.
White people are being faded from the picture.
Their trying to bring in the colored folks to watch wrestling.

I don't give a damn that Booker T or King Booger is black, and I don't think anyone else gives a damn about him being black (except racists) but I think that he is Champ because of Finlay, Regal or anyone else who would help him. I just want to know how The Boogeyman got mixed into all of this.

I really don't think race had anything to do with giving king booker the title. My guess is they had no one else to give it to. Batista was still injured and undertaker was busy with khali. If it were a racial issue. Farooq would have been world champion when he wrestled bret hart several years ago.

race has nothing to do with it,what make's you think that booker t has held many title in his time wcw 5 time, wcw tag team champions on many occasion and not to mention his title's in the wwe. he is a outstanding talent a great athlete and he deserve's to be smackdown champ rite now, if wwe were to make a champ because he is black they have plenty to choose from not just booker

No, not @ all. Booker and the 'King' character are probably the best thing about Smackdown (although I could live without 'All Hail King Bookerrrr')

Does everybody see color? everybody wants to criticize Cryme Tyme for their "gangsta" gimmick and compare them to John Cena. First of all Cena is A rapper with gangsta mentality and cryme tyme is a thug life gimmick NOT rappers.

WTF?? What does that even mean...that makes no sense whatsoever. Booker T being black doesn't have anything to do with him being the champion. Booker T got that belt because he cheated!! His race doesn't have a damn thing to do with it.
I can't stand when people want to bring race into everything.

he gots the belt cuz its been a long time coming,although his gimmick is a little stupid. he deserves that belt.
