Let's be honest. Every politician does this. Look at Teddy Kennedy's nephew, Patrick Kennedy (D) Rhode Island, excused his driving drunk by claiming he suffers from a disease called alcoholism, combined with the sleeping medication he was taking. Excuse after excuse to avoid losing his office. Let's quit trying to make Foley a political issue. It's typical that just before an election cr*p like this is brought up.

Do you think it's a violation of federal election laws for the Democrat party to be bringing this to the table just weeks before the election since they knew about this more than two years ago?

He's using every excuse he can find to justify his gross misconduct. If it is indeed true that he was molested by a priest, I feel terribly sorry for him, but that doesn't excuse or negate his actions today. As a grown man he should be totally responsible for what he has done and give up the lame line of reasoning he spouts to the press.

Yes, the whole thing sounds like a lie to me. Run to rehab, say you've had an alcohol problem, you were molested as a child, and now you're gay. Well, how old are you and how long have you been in Congess? Coincidence all of it comes out now after you get in trouble.

Actually, his lawyer said he is not using excuses, which means that he is leaving it up to the people that hear his lawyer use his excuses for him to allow that to be his sop out.
He's a sick pig, and should be locked up. He's no different than those people on " To Catch a Predator" except the FBI showed favoritism and didn't follow through with a sting operation! Lousy wortless feds!
