How to download movies.
Some days ago I told you how to use the google search to find Mp3 files and Ebooks. Today I will describe how to use similar searches to find movies using google searches.
To achieve this we will borrow some of the operators from the Mp3 Search, namely -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:”index of”
You could also add “-inurl:php” to avoid those nasty index.php files as well.
Now we could simply add the known movie file extensions like mpg, avi, wmv to the search and look at the first results.
We probably want to find special movies, like tv commercials, movies with a special actor in it, adult movies aso. What you do is to simply add what you are looking for to the search. For example movies with Claudia Schiffer would be found with the following search
-inurl:htm -inurl:html -inurl:php intitle:”index of” (mpg|avi|wmv) “Claudia Schiffer”
The (mpg|avi|wmv) operator can also be written (mpg or avi or wmv).

How to download ebooks.
(pdf|chm|doc|txt|zip|rar)
To get good results we need to exclude the following -inurl:htm -inurl:html
To search for directories that contain ebooks you use the following search string.
-inurl:htm -inurl:asp -inurl:html (“index of”|"last modified"|"parent of") AND ("ebook"|"ebooks"|"book"|"books") AND (pdf|chm|doc|txt|zip|rar) AND "Oct-2005"
You should really add another keyword, a title, author or publisher to get better results than that general search. Simply add the keyword at the end of your search using +”keyword”

How to download mp3s.
There are more filetypes that we should exclude from our searches to get better results, those are:
php, asp, doc, pdf, shtml and txt
To exclude these as well we use the following search string:
-inurl:htm -inurl:html -inurl:php -inurl:asp -inurl:doc -inurl:pdf -inurl:shtml -inurl:txt “index of” mp3 “Oct-2005? “Fresh Fantasy Dizzy Singers”
We also don´t want the following results to appear in our search results:
ringtones, lyric and playlists
That means we exclude those as well and get:
-inurl:htm -inurl:html -inurl:php -inurl:asp -inurl:doc -inurl:pdf -inurl:shtml -inurl:txt "index of” mp3 -ringtone -lyric -playlist Oct-2005? "Fresh Fantasy Dizzy Singers”
The last step is to add more possibly words that appear in the directory structure, those are
"parent of" and "last modified"
Our final searchstring now looks like this:
-inurl:htm -inurl:html -inurl:php -inurl:asp -inurl:doc -inurl:pdf -inurl:shtml -inurl:txt AND (“index of”|"last modified"|"parent of") AND mp3 -ringtone -lyric -playlist AND “Oct-2005? AND “dizzy singers”
You can of course exclude more search types from your searches, this depends on the circumstances, maybe you don´t want audiobooks to be displayed, or only audiobooks..
I think you have the basic understanding now to enhance the searches yourself and get pretty good results using google.

How to download realaudio files.
Yesterday I´ve written a short tutorial about stream ripping and one of the questions that occured was if its possible to rip (aka save) real audio music as well. Today i present a guide on how to save the real audio format to your hard disk.
You will need the following tools: Real Player, Real Player Alternative or another tool / plugin that plays real audio files. I suggest Real Player Alternative http://free.hostdepartment.com/s/site183/about_real.htm
There is more than one way to save the files. I try to give an overview on all of them, there are surely more out there but I think its sufficient if you know how to save them, no one needs more than 2-3 ways for the same process.
1. Go to a webpage that offers Real Audio Streams, they normally offer a link to a .ram file which you download. The .ram file only contains the link to the .ra / .rm file, and thats what we need. Remember the .ra file contains the audio, the .ram file the location of the audio file.
Download the .ram file and open it locally with a text editor. You should see a line with a link to the audio file. If you are lucky the url starts with http://
If thats the case simply copy paste the url into your browser and you are prompted to download the audio file.
Unfortunatly most of the time the url does not start with http but with rtsp:// for example. The browser won´t download this files, there is a workaround for this though. Just a quick note, there is an older format as well, just in case, don´t worry if you find a pnm:// link, its just the old protocol. There should not be a lot of those around anymore.
You can use the flashget program http://www.amazesoft.com/index.htm to which is a download manager to save streams, it is able to handle the rtsp:// format as well as others.
Once on your hard disk simply double click to start the audio.

My school gave me Rhapsody for free... you can download anything off of it, like from any time period. It's quite amazing. but you have to pay for it.
If you're looking for free, I think soulseek is the best. It's user-oriented which means you get some bad tracks, but they have a lot of stuff and it downloads right onto your computer. Can't play music with it though, you have to do that through windows media.

I used to use the freebie sites until my conscience bothered me (plus, I was getting a lot of viruses too) so I went with iTunes. They're 99 cents a pop and virus free.
So go with iTunes or any place that allows you to pay for your songs.

I like limewire and best of all bearshare. If you use bearshare it goes to your music file and windows media if that's what you have. Just I still don't know how to burn songs to a cd from there. Anyone can help me out. But I really like bearshare.

i just learned about bearshare. It seems cool. you can download music and transfer it to your MP3 or iPod. You can also post a picture up on your profile and chat with other members.
