The Dems want it both ways.
They want unions to get employees top wages and benefits AND they want goods and services to remain reasonably priced.
They want free healthcare for all who cannot afford it AND they want low-cost premiums and top-notch care for those who can.
They want more social programs AND they want somebody else to pay for them.
They want world peace BUT they are not willing to fight those who would kill us.
They want strong leaders... who are patsies

Yes outsourcing hurts the country. It kills off all the good paying blue collar jobs by allowing companies to shed workers here and send the work to countries that do pay nothing and have no environmental standards. And as this happens the cities and states that lose these jobs see direct hits to the local economies from the lack of sales at small and large stores. Mom and Pop shops go under and the bigger chains buy more imported items to offset the losses. These self same companies pollute the environment of these third world nations instead of paying for the toxic waste to be taken care of properly. Which hurts Tech jobs here. And destoys a part of the earth.
And as you think you are so informed about all those foreign companies that are here in the usa, Let me say this.
The profits that those companies make do not stay in this country. They go back to the home country of said companies.
Where the trade laws seem to be barriers to the US products that go there. So yes outsourcing hurts the country and the rest of the world.

yes, that is true, but i believe that the number of jobs outsourced by the US exceeds the number of jobs that are brought here by foreign companies. And think about the jobs that we are outsourcing! Factory, customer service, Mechanical, and other tedious jobs that not many people want in America, but need! We are taking away from the people who really need these jobs just to save a few bucks here and there. It is ruining our economy, and ultimately widening the economical gap. Jobs that the lower class in our society would be working are being taken away from them, and they do not have the education or experience to move up to a higher paying more stable industry or position.
Other countries may be bring jobs into the country, but they are mostly corporate based. The company may be based in the US, but do you think they manufacture their goods here? No. It is cheaper to do it elsewhere.
Ultimately, outsourcing in America has become a huge issue of debate and rightfully so! we need those jobs to stay within our borders in order to succeed as an economically well balanced nation.

Okay, sure some white collar jobs land in the US for college educated, middle class people. Most of which where imported from Canada or Europe were the levels of post secondary education are higher, since it's heavily subsidized by the state. Most of the jobs that are out sourced are in the manufacturing fields affecting the lower to middle class people who don't have a college education and have no idea what to do now they are unemployed, leading to higher rates of poverty (did you 50% of Americans live below the poverty line) With higher rates of poverty leads to higher rates of crime and so on. As the Democrats AND the Republicans and all there friends grow rich on the backs of the average men and women who just don't see it. Blinded by patriotism
Now, in this particular case yes out sourcing of jobs is a major problem for the US, if the Government invested tax payers money back into the American people instead on useless wars then no it wouldn't be a problem at all.

I agree with Koalatcom, the biggest problem here is the unions.I belonged to the Teamsters & when my company was sold they brought in their own drives & I was out of a job. The union did nothing for me but collect dues for a year. A lot of these companies are out sourcing over seas because of the unions. Over there they dont have strikes that shut busineses down because they can not get the supplies needed to run their business.I also see that the Democrates have the unions in their back pockets.

You bet! Out sourcing means jobs going overseas. Basic economics, supply and demand. If America's jobs going overseas, what do you think will happens to demand for goods and services? People can't buy things if they don't have jobs to earn cash, let alone, to pay for their living expenses.
Companies that move to the US are mostly from countries with high pay wages and cost of living. Therefore, it's in their best interest to move to the US. It's good for their image and maybe cheaper to produce and get their products (such as automobiles) to the customers.

Are you kidding or something? Outsourcing takes jobs faraway from individuals and provides them to human beings foreign places who will paintings for far less. How, precisely, does that income individuals (except for vendors of organizations)? the organizations which have moved right here do no longer count number as outsourcing. For individuals, organizations shifting right here's INsourcing.

The real question is what would the Dems do about it? We are in a global economy and we have to compete.
