Most small consumer products are made in China nowadays. That's where it's cost effective to make them. That's why we can afford to buy them. That's part of inflation being low.

The Western world is increasingly specialising in knowledge-intensive services, and to a lesser extent goods (like drugs and optics). Comparative cost advantage really does work in the real world:-)
All to the good IMO. When I was young, most people worked in factories and only the middle-class minority worked in offices. Now most people work in offices.

LOL im from New Zealand and most of our products are made in China too.... e.g toys, plastic things, microwave, fridge, television, playstation 2?,psp I hope the watch I got in Switzerland isnt made in China?!

I can't even look. I know that way too many are and that is really sad. We need to get production back to America. How can we grow economically if everything is being done over seas. SAD!!!!
