Ribosome is the machinery for the biochemical synthesis of proteins. Messenger RNA, derived from gene transcription in the nucleus, migrates to the cytoplasm and serves as template with the genetic codes being read in ribosomes. The encode genetic information is used to assemble the appropriate amino acids (building blocks for proteins) into polypeptides (also known as proteins). Proteins have important functions in the cell including serving as structural units such as filaments, in movement such as molecular motors, in enzyme reactions, and many cellular processes. Thus ribosomes are critical for the well being of cells.

The place of ribosomes in the cells are to examine mRNA transcripts (somewhat little copies of particular DNA segments) and translate them into proteins. "ribosomes make proteins" on your catalog you need to sell "micro factories for all your protein desires" golgi physique: packaging and labeling tough ER: assembly plant Ribosomes: machines in the production unit nucleus: foreman's place of work with the blueprints
