It isn't capitalism that at fault, although you would be surprized at the excuses that the poor come up with to shift the blame off the poor, poor pitful poor. The real reason is that this class of people for the most part think that the government owes them a living, the poor (80%) do not take responsibility for themselves. They don't get educated, they spong off the welfare systems and the rest of the hand outs that gov't provides. The taxpayers end up footing the bill. I believe that if you don't pay taxes then you lose the opportunity to vote. Why should the non-tax payers have any say in the way tax money is spent? Think about it.

It ensures that people will be paid for the quality of work they do. Even the poorest American lives better than most of the people in the world.

Capitalism is the only successful economic sytem in history. There are poor in socialist/communist countries as well & far worse off.

maybe...but it's way better than the alternative...communism.
