I have been taking these Airbourne supplments, but is there anything else I can do (I have to march in a parade this weekend; I don't want to get sick).

Get some rest. If you have sick time from work, take it (or stay home, if you are in school still). Push the fluids- water, 100% juice, and chicken broth. Keep warm. Take some zinc tablets or zicam- they may taste nasty but they've definitely kept my colds short. If your throat is sore, gargle with some lukewarm salt water.

Feel better!

Gargle with warm salt water every 3-4 hours, continue the Airbourne and you should be fine. Most of all, avoid Zicam - it's the worst over the counter (supposedly) cure there is. I've known several who have used it and it did them no good and they actually ended up at the doctor's office because of the product.

unfortunately marching in a parade where you wont be dressed too warmly is not going to help, but for now: alternate between drinking tea with lots of lemon and orange juice. take vitamin c. also Cepacol works great for numbing sore throats. if all else fails, take motrin before the parade... it wont make you get better, but it will alleviate some of the symptoms.... get better!! oh yeah gargle with warm-salty water 2-3 times a day, trust me it helps.

Tomato juice with a shot of Tabasco Sauce in it, afew times a day.

Or Hot Toddy's....you can look the recipe up on the net, sorry can't remember, but it's got rum and lemon juice and stuff in it, old Scottish remedy for getting rid of colds and killing bugs. Potent but good it's a hot drink.

Gargle with salt water, drink lots of fluids, and get plenty of rest. That'll have to help, but it'll just take time to get over.
