I was walking around shops and have noticed lots of decorations in shops!! My friend thinks that it is way too early for things like that, and I do agree to an extent. . . . .but I love christmas!! I can't help feeling a bit excited and a bit happier, when I walk through the shops!!
What do you think? Is it way too early or do you enjoy the festivities at this time?

I do love Christmas, but it seems to start earlier and earlier each year....too early.
I personally think that Christmas items such as cards, decorations etc, shouldn't go on sale until December 1st. I also think that Christmas street lights shouldn't be turned on 'til then.
This wouldn't stop people going ahead and buying their presents as early as they wanted. But it would stop Christmas stretching from August to January (that's 5 months of the year)! I said August 'cos that's usually when the first Christmas bits appear in the shops, and i think it's ridiculous.
It just seems to take all the fun and excitement out of it. By the time December gets here, i'm really pee'ed off with it all.

I also think think that the shops should stay closed for at least 3 days over Christmas....it's not a holiday anymore, just a day off!
And a tiring day off to boot...

I love Christmas, but I think it is too early! On general principle, I will not LOOK at the Christmas stuff before Halloween. I think the stores are just trying to get ahead, they think that if they are the first to put stuff out, everyone will buy there instead of someplace else. It is a shame, because it is happening with everything, not just Christmas, we have "back to school" sales in July, bathing suits coming out in February, it is just a big rush to hurry the next season or holiday....time goes fast enough as it is without always rushing to the next thing.

I love Christmas too but since Halloween hasn't even approached yet it is definitely too early for Christmas decorations however it is not too early to start Christmas shopping. I think that stores should wait until after Halloween before putting up Christmas decor. After Halloween is the perfect time to start decorating but right now is a little too early.

WAY too early in my opinion. It's all stale and boring by the time the so called festivities start.
Far from being exciting, I feel it is depressing and I am not a negative person, but this is all too much, too soon. It is just so materialistic and greedy. The original meaning of Christmas has disappeared altogether.

It is early - but for the stores it might get you to buy something. Too early for the christmas music all the time. But I do love the decorations!

If everyone would focus on the true meaning of Christmas, I'd say that it's never too early, however the extremes that the retailers take it to to get you to spend, spend, spend is a little disheartening to me. I love Christmas, but the commercialisation has gone overboard- at least they used to wait till thanksgiving to start with the Christmas stuff!!!

Some stores are open year round and are just for Christmas... Never too early. Elvis said Why can't every day be like Christmas. Why can't that feeling go on endlessly... For if every day could be just like Christmas... What a wonderful world it would be.

I love Christmas also. I like buying decorations early also, but I don't put them up until the day after Thanksgiving. I am also a early Christmas shopper. I have gifts already in my closet waiting to be wrapped. The holidays do give you a feeling of excitement and joy.
