Why is it that some people get a kick out of being cruel?.....?

I make sure i have nothing to do with people who actually get a kick out of being spiteful to others....what do they gain by this?.........

Some people get a kick out of being mean and hurtful because it makes them feel better about themselves. They feel good when they can find faults about others and make them feel low. I knew someone like that (the friendship didn't last long at all), her attitude made her so ugly.

Many of them are that way because they feel powerless, so they go too far in order to feel a sense of power over others. Also, sometimes they are truly sadistic, and like to see people hurt by their actions or words. Sometimes they are cowards, who figure they can get away with such hateful behavior because we teach decent people in this society to be polite even in the face of cruelty.
If many of these cruel people knew that they would likely get hit in the mouth by the people they mistreat, they'd be far more circumspect instead.

Its true there are alot of ppl that are cruel.

What I have figured is that they are weak and to show others that they are VERY BrAVE and very STRONG, they find a weak catch and make fun of and be cruel to it in public (and sometimes privately). This makes ppl back off from them (kindof like u did, but ur case is different since ur not gona harm anyone hopefully) and not qestion their weaknesses and emotional breakdowns. They just put a show to distract ppl from themselves and watch the poor guy or gal they are fooling. Wow ...putting it all in words realy feels good! I kindof got an anwers to myy question too. thanx. :)

The only thing they gain is the ability to bring you down to their level so they can feel better about themselves. They are very unhappy, insecure people who crave attention. It appeas they had an extremely difficult childhood and that's really sad because childhood should always be a person's happiest time of their life.

By making others feel bad it makes them feel good that they can belittle someone a play on what that persons fears are then they don't have to worry about their own Problems!!
People like that are useless wastes of skin

they are jealous of people and they don't won't to be made fun of beacause they arn't hip or cool and then when they become mean or cruel they think there cool then because there beating people up.I know how you feel.My first day at a new school kids picked on me beacause I got cool and they went down hill and now half of them turned out to be my friends exept for 2 of them.oh well

I think.that folks get rush out of being a a.s.s..to folks on line. There isn't really any pay back...no chance of anyone kicking they're butt up between they're should blades. They're little folks ...that would never bring it face/face in real life.

i was just reading an article on this - it's usually borderline personality types that do this - they see a good trait in another person that they know they will never possess cause they have a personality disorder, so they set out to destroy the goodness in that person - mind you this is all done subconsciously - steer clear of those types.

Simple, some people are just gits! But there is a superiority complex there as well, i.e when you belittle others you compensate for you own insurcurities.... Or, they just need Jesus in there lives.
