To ship via UPS you need to go someplace that ships UPS

Same with FedEx.

The US Post Office will only ship by US Postal Service. This is your Federal Gov't at work. The other shipping companies are private corporations that specialize in parcel shipment, but will also deliver letters for a higher price than the USPS.

Some stores will ship your packages using UPS such as K-mart or those small shipping stores that sells cardboard boxes.

Some people don't use the US Postal system because they don't want the Fed spying into their packages and letters. UPS has also given access to the Fed, but FedEx has not.
