Well, it depends on which traits have caused you to refer to him as "Mr. Gorilla." If the fact that he has dark skin is your reason, that is racist and ignorant. If the fact that he smells bad and is shouting is your reason, that is just a general insult.

Judging by your other questions, I will wager that you are using it in the racist sense.
