I am. What are they going to do differently than Bush? Withdraw and allow the situation to get worse?

Worse? It's such a mess now because Bush & Rumsfeld didn't plan properly, didn't listen to the military commanders on the ground, and have utterly botched the execution of the war- I doubt ANYONE could do much worse...

Withdrawal is ultimately our goal- Americans are not interested in some nation-building project that lasts another 10 years. Right now it's just a question of what's the best timetable for the Iraqi security forces taking over, but it's not guaranteed that they'll be able to prevent a civil war.

Five years from now, there may be 3 distinct countries in the area we currently call Iraq- or the current government may gian support and endure- either way, that's an issue for the Iraqi people to decide, not American soldiers. We got rid of Saddam and gave them a provisional government, now they've got to handle the hard part- deciding which direction to go. If that means Sunnis and Shiites form a lasting consensus, fine. If Iraqis decide all-out-war with Islamic extremists is inevitable, fine. If they decide to break apart like Yugoslavia, fine. It's THEIR country.

They dont have a plan. The democrat party has two main sub-parties: normal democrat, and extreme-left democrat.
The only thing that they agree on is that they hate Bush.
If they win the House, the main reasons they win would be because the average american will vote change for the sake of change. They also would win because of rediculous things like the Foaly Scandal. They twisted it into "its all the Republicans. You certainly dont want them in the house?"
