Oh , honey welcom to the club at last .
Why would we want to vote back in office the do nothing , sleezy dishonest , sneeky Congress that we have there now .
The Corperate bed must be crowded with both party's in it spending their money for favors.

I'm thinking that the main difference is in their agenda's. Republicans have basically shown us that they are for the rich, Big Business, Big Oil and their personal gain. Their votes are unified when it comes to those type of issues. The Dems are more for the Middle-Class/Poor, social and environmental policies, and the common working man. Although they are also affected by special interests--they are not as blatant or as arrogant and they really don't go out of their way to pass legislation to appease these people.

I think the commonality lies in the elites of the Democratic party like Liebermann--who side with the pubs on issues that don't reflect the wishes of their constituency. Should all work out in Nov....

As a liberal I tend to agree with you. Politicians in general, I speak of the career politicians, have become lobbyist loyalists. They work for the votes and the campaign contributions now more than ever it seems. I have come to really like Barack Obama for that reason. He is a refreshing breeze in a fetid environment. Not your typical Democrat, he believes in being a useful part of society as well as championing causes that our future generations will benefit from. We need more of these positive characters in Congress, rather than those who like to play the blame game.

I just answered this question half hour ago. I hope if you are of voting age you don't decide not to vote to teach republican leaders a lesson. Yeah it's almost like trying to decide which of two ugly sisters to take out on a date. But a couple of things make me want to stick with the repo's. They have a better grasp on how to deal with the war on terror I think. And I like lower taxes better then raising them like the Dem's have promised to do asap if they regain power. I haven't really heard any plans from the libs on how they will deal with anything. Just hating Bush doesn't qualify them to run a country, although there seems to be a lot of folks who think it is. We will see what happens.

Career politicians are the same they lie, cheat and steal just to stay in power. The difference is Conservatives get rid of their bad apples. Liberals glorify theirs.

Absolutely wrong! The Repukes have adopted a fascist mentality that says the Constitution is secondary to political objectives. National Democrats aren't saints, but by comparison to corrupt Repukes, they just LOOK like it. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

I'm a moderate and I think the same thing. Both politicians are authoritarian and don't stick to the true principles.

Depends.
If you are talking about true conservative values like fiscal responsibility, and less government intervention...then yes theres a difference. But under this administration true conservative values are now Democratic ones. It is crazy and disgusting. Cleaning house in a few weeks would be more than welcome in my book. Get rid of all these phony, slimeball, homophobic, self-righteous republican sickos now!

I think there are major differences between conservaties and liberals. To name a few: war in Iraq, abortion, patriot act, death penality, immigration, social security, medicare, etc.

Every single one I listed, conservates and liberals take very different stances. If you don't see a difference anymore, you might want to pay more attention of what is going on in congress.

We are different?

I know guys like you are really disingenuous with your questions

A true republican knows that facts of whats separates him between the dark side. Some like Foley how crossed over to the dark side knows. The Dem's do not know that they serve the dark side those that know embrace it.
