Try booting into safe mode (press F8 key during boot time) and see if you can't uninstall whatever it is you installed that apparently hosed your system.

This time when you turn the computer back on try hitting the delete button while it tries to load up a screen will menu screen should appear, you then want to load Fail-safe settings, then restart it should then run through a find the problem & tell you wats wrong if not then redo the steps, I then want you to load Optomise settings, If that doesnt work, then try you cd restore disks if you have them if you don't have them then moslikely something has went out on your motherboard & then you have 2 options 1. Take it to a computer repair tech & have them put in a new mother board & what ever else needs to be repaired. Or 2. Go out & get a new computer!!! Sorry I couldn't be much more help.

Restart your computer, then press the "F8" button and enter into safe mode. Once Safe Mode is up, then log in as yourself and go to Start > Program Files > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

This will open XP's system restore utility. Select the option to restore your computer from an earlier state and then click Next. Select on the calendar the closest date before you did the install, then click Okay. Your computer will restore itself to it's former state per the date that you selected.

** This will erase anything you may have done from the date you selected to today (the day when you are doing this). Make sure to save that stuff somewhere. That software that you downloaded will be deleted and you will have to reinstall it again. Also, after you do the restore and the computer comes up again, log in and go back to create a restore point and name it "CPU Working Fine". That way, in the future if you need to restore it, you can go back and restore it to the state that you're at.

Hope this helps.
