There are several ways to check on job availability. If you happen to be at your local PO you can pick up a yellow form for whatever tests may be open at the time. You can also lookup jobs via USPS.com. The classes you read about only teach you mnemonic techniques to help your memory for that particular part of the test. Check out the library and book store first though because you can get the test prep. books easier and cheaper elsewhere.

Ignore those ads. They are scams. If you want to work for the Post Office go to the Post office and
inquire about job availability.

Just a word of caution--Beware of the sites and newspaper listings. They will want you to pay for study materials for the postal exam. These materials are provided by the post office anyway! If you figure out how to get into the post office, let me know---I've been trying for the longest. Good luck.

You need to to contact the post office to find out when they have 'open testing.' This usually happens twice a year or so depending on your location. The test itself is pretty easy, but actually landing a job is difficult because MANY people will be competing for one or two positions. Good Luck!
