Get two cameras take some photographs. Download those photographs onto a computer, if you have'nt got one borrow. Create a website, a blog. Create something together. Then create something else.Carry on till you know who is good at what.
I would call the blog, site, book, whatever something like "...I live on the big island of Hawaii.." Get some bicycles ride round the island( big as it is) get known as that annoying but rather amusing couple with the cameras. In a years your a world famous photographic team and I am reading about you in Harpers and Queen. Trust me it will work.

Boardgames are always fun, but save those for a rainy day!
Are there any local sporting events? Try some artistic projects like drawing or sculpting, or working on your Halloween costumes. Maybe go roller-skating. Perhaps a contest in the kitchen- you both have to cook something for the other?

Go to the BEACH!! Doesn't cost a dime.
Go for walks; watch the sunrise/set; take a nice bubble bath together; play cards. Lots of free things out there.

You can go to the movies,have a picnic, take a walk on the beach,go swimming, play cards and you can always go exploring

hmm maybe go to the beach? long walks and swimmin in the ocean (bathing suits optional =]) or maybe just watching a movie at home. somethin romantic or scar
