Recently our household has decided to no longer shop at Wal-Mart due to various reasons. Do you shop there? Any reasons why or why not?

Yes-I don't think anyone actually enjoys Wal-Mart. It has become a necessary evil in small market areas. Where else can I get a dune buggy and hair dryer at 3 in the morning

I am probably the only person in the U.S. more than 50 years old who has never shopped at Wal-mart or Sam's Club.

Wal-mart has had problems for many years with their busness practices, even before the PBS piece entitled "The High Cost of Low Prices."

Wal-mart just lost yet another lawsuit this week in PA and they do not care.

There are three more lawsuits ready to go to trial. Walmart's policy to to just fight the judgements. I hope all the juries are aware of this.

Wlamart said that the overtime was incidental and the employees did not deserve the money. The jury properly told Walmart that if the overtime was incidental then the $78M to pay could be incidental. That jury was absolutely correct.

I have not, and will not give them one penny of mine.

I shop at WalMart on rare occasion because it's like a cattle drive. I hate shopping there and try to plan my visits for like 2 AM or something.
I do shop at Sam's Club. I have a large family and they've got big stuff.
To not shop at WM or Sams because it uses Chinese labor is not right (I'm not saying that's why you don't) because most of those chinese workers are Christians that are being worked long hard hours for minimal pay. These are the only jobs the Christians in China can get because in China being a Christian is a crime.

no not anymore i worked there for a couple of mths p/t and i saw how they treat their employees; which is like crap and they treat the merchandise even worse. NOTE: IF YOU SHOP IN WALMART DO NOT BUY ELECTRONICS BECAUSE THEY THROW IT AROUND THE BACK ROOM LIKE A BASKETBALL!!!!! so if you ever want to know why your tv doesn't work and you just brought it from walmart that's why. also while i was working there they would take target's flyers and if they're stuff was priced lower they would raise the price or if it was higher they would lower so that they would be on the same level w/ target which to me is dumb wouldn't you always want to undersell your main competition? they are idiots.

I shop there sometimes b/c they usually have lower prices on brand name goods. I don't buy clothes there, but food & personal care items. But, it is such a huge store that I don't always like to shop there. I like smaller, cleaner stores that have less of a warehouse feel to them. I like shopping at Safeway now b/c they have really revamped their stores to have more of a "neighborhood store" feel. I know it is supposed to be this big evil company, but really they are providing us with lower priced goods and money is tight these days.

Yes. Since Hurricane Katrina there aren't many
stores open where the prices are affordable.
