Spitting out oil doesn't sound good. Could be bad top end or just to rich on the oil mixture. Like it was told before, go back to basics. New plug, clean air filter, clean the carb, drain the tank and start with fresh and properly mixed fuel. I don't think there is a way to test the cdi, I don't think it would even run at all if it were out. I have a KX500 for sale, maybe you should just go green. It has a brand new top end, ready to ride.

Start with a basic tune up; plugs, points, timing; then address fuel issues. Honda engines are pretty reliable. My '75 CB750F starts with one kick only (w/o the choke). If the plugs are oiled, then you have amother problem to deal with.

Try changing your plugs and then start it again. It could just be fouled plugs. You don't give alot of info, how it ran before, what you have done to it, mods, problems, is it out of fuel? But if there is alot of exhaust there is alot of unburnt fuel, so try changing the plugs first, then let us know some details!

check the hardness when u kick if its hard it means your enging is good (but there are many things that may be go wrong) then try changing the plugs when u remove it if its covered with oil time to check your oil system or if your kick padel go smooth its time to change piston and rings and also try to clean exhaust pipe too
