I had protected intercourse 20 days after the first day of my last cycle. My cycles are normally 28 days...so the intercourse was around my fertile days or right after. We used a condom, but I am not on any form of birth control. My periods are regular and was supposed to come on Oct. 16. It is the 19 and has not come yet. I am 20 and in college...with three tests this week. Do you think I'm pregnant or stressed about everything?! I am scared of the results of a home pregnancy test...should I wait a couple more days? Any advice would help!

I took a home pregnancy test on Friday...five days after I expected my period. It was NEG. However, my period still has not come. Should I take another test...wait a couple more days??...or go get a blood test?!

High quality condoms, when used consistently and correctly, provide an excellent barrier against pregnancy. Clinical trials have shown that correct and consistent use of condoms can have between 95% and 98% contraceptive efficacy rate.
There is a chance you are pregnant, but as you are under alot of stress at the moment, it could well be that. I would recommend doing a pregnancy test as then you should hopefully be able to put it out of your find and get on with your tests.
As you are already a few days late, the test should be relatively accurate, so I'd nip out and get one now, to put your mind at rest.
Hope you get the result you want, and good luck with your tests.

I would wait. You were cautious and sensible using a condom. Leave it until Monday, the stress of work could play havoc with your cycle. No harm in buying a test next week if you have not had your period. I am sure you are not pregnant but maybe as well as using condoms you should think about the pill or something to make you feel more protected. Take care

If you used a condom and it didn't break, then chances of you being pregnant are slim. Also, when I get stressed out, my periods are almost always late. I think you're have a lot of pressure on you right now, and stress has bigger impact on the body than one might think. Also, it's not as easy to get pregnant as most people think. Why do you think more and more couples are going to fertility clinics? Besides, if it happened on the 20th day of the cycle, chances of pregnancy are REALLY slim. I know this for a fact. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to think about it too much. I hope everything works out fine for you. Good luck.

dont stress yourself out because this can cause your period to be late. i would still buy a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side. use clear blue or something like that. if it is negative and you still havent come on by the end of the month go to the doctors and explain everything and they can tell by doing a blood test

Wait about two more days. Then take the pregnancy test. It may be stress. Or your cycle time changed.

you are probalby not pregnant. but if you want to take a test go ahead wait a couple more days so that the hormone levels would be high enough to detect. you are more than likely stressed. stress among many other things can postpone a period, and sometimes your period may not come at all

You are stressed. It is highly unlikely you are pregnant if you used a condom. If it split, then yes, it is possible. And you most fertile time is 12-14 days after your period startd (im 99% sure).
Youre period can be delayed because of stress, so dont panic, relaax and things will come naturally. Good luck.

I'd say it's 99% chance that you are NOT pregnant. Really, your fertile days are 14 days from your period (count the day your period starts as day 1). But the fact that you used protection, and are stressed out make it pretty sure that you're NOT. Relax and concentrate on your studies.

wait for at least 10 days after your expected date of periods...
false negative tests happen if you try the pregnancy test too early
look for other signs of pregnancy like nausea, morning sickness, and breast tenderness... often these are more reliable :-)
best of luck
